Childwatch is a feature of YMCA youth programming that offers a variety of supervised activities for children while their parents take time to exercise and relax. Childwatch is divided into two groups and provides age-appropriate activities that are available to youth members. It is a free service to all members.
Preschool Zone:
"Childwatch" programming is for children ages 6 months to 5 years. Learning is encouraged through interactive play using games, puzzles, dress up, dramatic play and storytelling. Special arts & crafts and Mommy/Daddy & Me events are planned weekly. Children can participate in an Alpha Fit class or visit the new pre-school play gym. Children are engaged for hours in healthy activities while having a great time.
Kids Zone:
The "Kids Zone" offers age-appropriate activities for school-age children and
certified staff offer homework assistance. The Kids Zone program engages children with board game tournaments, billiard competitions and art and cooking projects.
Youth can also play wally ball, participate in gym games and get a great workout on the sports wall and the new X-box mania machines. Participants are sure to have a fun time!
