Great News from the Families Matter Capital Campaign

To date the Families Matter Capital Campaign has raised more than $4.4 million dollars towards our campaign’s challenge goal of $5,000,000. Thank you to all of you who have helped so far – without the communities support we would not be able to turn our dreams for the future into reality.

Now with the Families Matter Capital Campaign Phase Two in full swing, we are focusing on completing the Architectural plans for MacColl Field YMCA and hope to begin construction in the summer of 2008. Northern Rhode Island will soon have the opportunity to enjoy a full YMCA facility at MacColl Field complete with a indoor facility and new outdoor recreational space, as well as increased after-school programming for both youth and teens.

Already completed components of the MacColl Field expansion are in place and operational, with the new Aquatic Sprayground, and basketball courts, we are well on our way to developing the premier facility for Northern Rhode Island. As we design the community phase of that project we thank those who have already joined the committee and are assisting us in creating this cornerstone project. 2008 looks to be a very promising year for the Families Matter Campaign.
